Power couple, Beyonce and Jay-Z were awarded at the 2019 Brit Awards with the prize for Best International Group on Wednesday.
The pair didn’t go to the service at the O2 in London, however acknowledged their trophy by means of video message.
In their acknowledgment discourse, Beyoncé and JAY-Z reproduce their music video for “Primates—,” in which they present before Leonardo da Vinci’s “Mona Lisa,” by supplanting the world-renowned painting with a representation of Meghan to pay tribute to her.
Taking to Instagram to clarify their purpose behind including the Meghan photograph, Beyonce composed: ‘Thank you to the Brits for the honor for Best International Group. I won this honor in 2002 with my besties, Kelly and Michelle. How fortunate am I to have been in a gathering with my other closest companion, the GOAT Hova. ?? To pay tribute to Black History Month, we bow down to one of our Melanated Monas. Well done on your pregnancy! We wish you so much happiness.’
